 1. Equipment Overview

CosMolar CM-811 semi-automatic foam packaging machine is a professional polyurethane on-site foam packaging system.
It is equipped with gear pump, temperature control system, mixing chamber and touch screen.
Standard configuration: foam gun (gun core), heating material delivery hoses, workbench.
Paper cutter stand is an optional accessory.
Supporting materials: PE film or special foam bags.
Power supply: 220V / 32A single phase
Flow rate: 2.5–4 kg/min
Material temperature range: 30–60℃
Four working modes:
Manual continuous mode
Fixed time mode
Mixed time mode
Assembly line automatic mode
Widely used for buffer packaging of precision hardware, auto parts, home appliances, fragile ceramics and irregular products.
Raw material composition:
Tank A: Isocyanate
Tank B: Polyether Polyol
2. Pre-Operation Inspection & Preparation
Wear protective equipment: safety goggles, solvent-resistant gloves, long-sleeve work clothes and dust mask.
Ensure sufficient liquid in Tank A and Tank B. Do not swap A/B pumps. Never run pumps without material.
Check hoses for damage, bending or leakage; keep gun core unblocked. Confirm heating wires and sensors work normally; touch screen display is stable and well grounded.
Place raw material barrels properly: distance from barrel to main unit ≤ 1.5m, to foam gun ≤ 3m. Keep workplace well ventilated and free of open fire.
Prepare PE film and foam bags in advance; adjust paper cutter stand for smooth cutting.
3. Power On & Parameter Setting
Turn on the leakage protection switch. The touch screen enters self-checking for about 2 minutes until System Ready appears.
Tap the screen to enter the main interface, select working mode until it turns green.
Flow and pressure are factory calibrated. Do not adjust gear pump parameters without professional guidance.
Do a test spray to confirm foam is uniform, non-flowing and non-shrinking before formal production.
4. Standard Packaging Operation Steps
4.1 Cut Packaging Material
Cut PE film to proper size with paper cutter stand. For small or irregular products, use dedicated foam bags directly.
4.2 Bottom Foaming
Lay PE film inside the carton, leaving 5–10cm margin above the box edge.
Hold the foam gun with gun core facing down, 10–15cm above the film. Pull the trigger to inject foam material.
Fold the film inward immediately to cover the liquid, wait 3–5 seconds for foam rising.
4.3 Product Positioning
Place the product on the semi-expanded foam, press gently to make foam fit the product contour perfectly for full shockproof protection.
 4.4 Top Filling & Box Sealing
Lay another layer of PE film over the product and inject foam again.
Fold the film, close the carton cover and press lightly for 5–10 seconds.
Let it cure naturally for 5–10 minutes, then the package is ready for storage and shipment.
4.5 Simple Packaging with Foam Bag
Lay the foam bag flat on the workbench. Insert gun core into the bag and inject material for 2–4 seconds.
Seal the bag quickly and knead gently to mix A & B material evenly.
Put the bag into the carton, place the product after foaming, and fill foam bags on top and bottom for full cushioning.
5. Introduction of Four Working Modes
Manual Continuous Mode (Default)
Foam output lasts as long as you hold the trigger. Flexible for custom and irregular products.
Fixed Time Mode
Assembly Line Automatic Mode
6. Daily Maintenance & Maintenance Standard
Daily maintenance
Clean the gun core with cleaning box after use.
Spray briefly to flush residual material in the mixing chamber.
Turn off pumps, main unit and total power in sequence.
Monthly maintenance
Disassemble and clean gun core and filter; clear residue with cleaning needle.
Replace aging O-rings and seals regularly.
Check hoses and fasteners; maintain paper cutter blade and guide rail.
Raw material barrel replacement
Shut down the machine immediately when the empty tank alarm appears.
Do not leave pumps exposed to air for long.
Clean pump bottom filter before inserting into a new barrel. Never mix Tank A and Tank B material.
Original consumables reminder
Use original CosMolar raw foam material, gun cleaning water, soaking liquid, gun core and spare parts.
Warranty will be invalid if non-original consumables are used.
7. Common Faults & Quick Troubleshooting
Foam soft, shrinkage, poor molding
Reason: gun core blocked, filter dirty, abnormal temperature
Solution: clean gun core & filter, recalibrate temperature.
Only one-side material comes out
Reason: filter blocked, air entering pipeline
Solution: clean pump filter, check pipeline sealing.
Splashing & scattered spraying
Reason: dirty gun core, excessive flow
Solution: clean gun core, reduce output flow properly.
Gun leakage / high pressure
Reason: misaligned gun core, aging seal ring
Solution: reinstall gun core correctly, replace seals and fasten pipes.
Touch screen alarm
Such as temperature failure, pressure overload, empty tank reminder.
Shut down and inspect material, wiring and sensors. Contact CosMolar after-sales if problem remains unsolved.
8. Safety Operation Regulations
Keep working area well ventilated. No smoking and no open fire.
Isocyanate material shall avoid skin and respiratory contact. In case of splashing, rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical help immediately.
Cut off total power before maintenance.
Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble main cabinet or pump box to avoid electric shock and permanent damage.
Waste foam residue shall be disposed as hazardous waste according to regulations.
